Moira Brown of Canada’s “100 Huntley Street” TV talk show speaks with Dwayne about 30 Days of Renewal and how this God-focused experience can impact and renew an entire church. Please go to www.30DaysofRenewal.com for more information.
As I watched thousands of students and young adults rock out under the stars to the Christian Rock group, Skillet, tonight, I was reminded of a video interview I did with the lead singer, John Cooper, recently. (To watch the interview, click here.)
John — who is one of the most gracious and humble artists I’ve ever met, btw — was emphatic and clear in our interview that Skillet is not a worship band (although some who attend their concerts definitely and obviously worship!) As he explained, they are by choice first of all an entertainment band who takes a bold stand for Jesus during their self-proclaimed “shows.” He made no apology for their deliberate efforts to entertain an audience, rather than try to lead them in worship.
Tonight I got to see again their excellent and powerful performance. I got to hear John Cooper tell that adoring crowd that Jesus is his greatest passion and the only way to God. I have no doubt that the Holy Spirit will remind those there tonight, who don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, of what John said. And once they trust Christ as their Savior, it will be up to us as worship leaders in our local churches to teach them how to worship and to lead them in praise.
Skillet did their job: They got the attention of the lost and pointed them toward Jesus to find new life. They helped ignite passion in the hearts and minds of Christians who were drawn closer to Christ through their music and testimony. Skillet as primarily a ”witness band” paved the way for worship bands to help those new and renewed believers express theirlove for Jesus through musical and lifestyle worship.
Dwayne recently had the opportunity to sit down with Charlie Hall and his entire band backstage of a conference where they were leading worship. Charlie Hall is best known as a songwriter and Passion artist. Enjoy!

Our founder, Dwayne Moore, had an amazing God-given opportunity to appear on 100 Huntley Street! 100 Huntley Street is the most popular Christian TV talk show in Canada! It literally reaches millions of viewers across Canada and the United States. You might think of it as the “700 Club” of Canada.
Dwayne was invited to sing and to talk about our resources here at Next Level Worship, including the Praise More Powerful worship study and 30 Days of Praise. Below is the link to the video recording of today’s broadcast. Dwayne’s portion begins at the time of 5:15 and goes until 23:30. Hey everyone, sorry about not posting in over a week. We changed ISPs and inadvertently knocked out our internet service for several days!
Below is a video interview with my dear friend, Rhon Carter, worship pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Blackshear, GA. (Click on the words Read on… below to view the video.)
Last weekend, I had the privilege to lead a Next Level Worship Retreat with 80+ choir members from Emmanuel Baptist. Rhon had me in to kick off their study through our worship study, Praise More Powerful. Their church averages some 1100 in worship each week. They are the largest church in their 64-church association, and they were the 4th fastest growing Southern Baptist church in Georgia in 2006.
After the Friday night teaching service, Rhon and I were sitting in my hotel room chatting about music and worship and choirs and other such items. Then Rhon said a most incredible thing. He began to share his heartbeat about wanting to help smaller congregations in any way he and his music ministry can. For example, he attends as many music minister meetings in the area as he possibly can. Why? It’s not so much because he needs the materials or advice being offered (although he said he still needs to learn); rather, he goes because he wants to support the other worship leaders and get to know them. How cool is that? Read more…

Scott Dawson took a few moments out of his very busy schedule this past weekend to give us his insights about artists. As he and I sat backstage of his Strength To Stand Conference for students, we discussed the role and importance he sees that Christian artists play in evangelistic events. I’ve had the privilege to be Scott’s worship leader and program director for many years, so I know his heartbeat for the Lord and for the lost. As you watch this interview, I believe you’ll sense it as well. Thanks, Scott, for your incredible leadership in the Kingdom! – Dwayne (To watch the video…) Read more…
I got a chance to sit down with Passion artist, Charlie Hall and his band, this past weekend at Scott Dawson’s Strength to Stand Conference in Pigeon Forge, TN. It is no wonder Charlie has been nominated for the Best Worship Artist for 2006 in CCM’s Reader’s Choice Awards! He’s certainly got my vote! This guy is amazingly kind and approachable. He was talking to anyone and everyone back stage at the conference! He and his band definitely don’t know they’re celebrities. Clearly, they just want to honor their God. (To watch the video…)
My friend, Joel Engle, was kind enough to give me about 10 minutes of his time for an interview between praise sets this past weekend. He was leading worship at Scott Dawson’s Strength to Stand Conference in Pigeon Forge, TN. Joel is an anointed worship artist, song-writer and author. He has a contagious passion for God and a deep understanding of God’s Word and what it says about worship and praise. I appreciate Joel sharing his incredible insights with us! – Dwayne (To watch the video…) Read more…

This past weekend I had the chance to sit down and have a nice long chat with a great up and coming worship band called Spur 58. I’ve known these guys for a while, but every time I get around them I love their hearts and passion for the Lord even more. Do yourself a favor and listen to this entire interview. You’ll laugh and be entertained and informed, but mostly, you’ll be challenged in your own walk with God. I know I was! Thanks, gentlemen, for loving Jesus and leading others to love Him too! - Dwayne Moore (To watch this video…) Read more…
