It is like Jerry Bridges said, we must first see God in His holiness before we can picture Him in His mercy, love, and grace. How often we fall into the trap of think of God as a "wise old grandfather" sitting on the front porch swing and calling us to sit in His lap. The truth is God is a consuming fire and we must surrender our all to Him. Great quiet time. Thanks for sharing it even though I feel as if I were hit between the eyes with a 2x4!
